First Day With My New Camera

The first picture I took with it.

It was pretty dark out when I took the rest of these pictures.
I'm pretty happy with the built in flash on that camera. :)

A Hummingbird Moth. We (Lanita and I) went out to the garden and there it was. It likes Four-O-Clocks.

Through Oct. 8

We took supper out to the job one evening.
There is a lake there. One of those kind that you dare not step in for fear you'll get stuck and not be able to get back out.

Right here was somewhat better as there was a fair amount of rock. Not to mention that D.J. had this problem of wanting to go into the lake even if he did almost leave his boots there a time or two. Do almost 9 year old boys ever learn after one time?

Leaves in the water.

No, D.J. wasn't wearing shorts. He just had HUGE holes in his knees.

I asked Nina if she wants people to think that this is what she does all the time. She said no.

Did you know that clothes baskets make good tables?

My good lookin' Dad. :)

Pretty leaves and a wood pile.

Red leaf and wood chips. And rocks in a mud hole.

That's a dust spot on Kyle's shirt.

Morning coffee.

This was the morning of Oct 2. Some of us girls stayed up to watch the northern lights.
They got pretty about the time we went back to sleep around 2:00...
Like, if I woulda went outside I wouldn't have gone back to sleep...
GRRRRRRRRRRR

The pics on this link are from many different places. Most of them say where.

Playing in the mud.

Mom said that you can't see all the mud on Deana's face.

 Pretty leaves.

A picture of Louisa just for the anyhow of it.

Youth Camping/Hiking Trip At Graber's Cabin

At the top of Buck Mountain.

You can't tell it in this picture, but Noah was leaning out over the cliff and asking Benny if he wanted to go down there. Benny didn't want to.

A mansion in the valley.

Elv

We have cell reception at the top of the mountain but not down at the cabin.
The radar.

Lets put a grasshopper down Amy's neck.

Supposed to be disappointed look after it got away.

An ore-boat on Lake Superior.

Some of us were pink striped shirts and put our hats on our faces when we take naps.

What were you guys discussing here?

And then we put our hat on our knee while we talk to Delvin.

After which Clark felt the first drop and there was a mass exodus of the top of the mountain. We all got wet on the way down... Except for those lucky persons who got to ride down in the jeep.

We then played such games as Psychiatrist and Prince Of Paris Lost His Hat. And then smaller group games like Pit and Rook. Sorry, I kinda forgot about the camera at that time.

It did stop raining in time for supper outside. And later it cleared off completely.
Did you know that you can see WAY more star when you don't have stupid yard lights? I did before but that eve. just confirmed it.

Singing around the campfire.

Conroy.

And Sun. morning. See that blue tent? I slept in it till it got to cold. Then we went into the warm house. Later we found out that it got down to 30*F. No wonder we were cold. There was ice on the puddles in the morning.

Everybody made the 3 hour drive up for the church service. The house (Not the one you see in this picture) was full. We had a fellowship meal as usual and then people headed out for home.

We went to Gooseberry Falls State Park on the way home. They were people infested but we had fun anyway.

I guess some people must have to climb up and down everything in sight.

This cave, said the people who went into it, wasn't really worth the work it took to get there.

So to make up for it... or just to prove that we can... or just because we want to...
We will push this log over the falls. It was heavy. Noah couldn't roll it over by himself. Or maybe he didn't try very hard.

And over it went.

Then we climbed up the bank ot the bottom of the bridge.

Abram picked a tree. That's Ben that you see here. Abram is behind (in front of) him.

The guys were having fun.

We had a LOT of fun. :) Thanks so much for the work you put into it everyone!
