Duluth Rose Gardens

We went and picked up Dad at the job.

Tori wanted me to take a picture of her smelling the flowers.

Down by the lake.

There were very few roses blooming.

The peonies were lovely. This one was RED. Not like on the picture.

Lilacs.

A pink peony.

Lake Superior.

Water coming through a culvert.

More of the lake.

The lift bridge.

The pavilion.

The point was the cross.

A rock in the lake. It showed it's head in the lows between waves.

The sunset. It was beautiful.

More of Our Lives

D.J.'s basket wasn't up here when Deanna was folding clothes so she did this.

It's laying on the clothes folding table. The white in the corner is the freezer. Grandma and Grandpa Weaver got that freezer when they got married 42 years ago. 43 this fall. The steps are under the railing that you can see at the head of "D.J." To the right, if you could see them, are the washer and dryer. To the left is the kitchen sink. We put a window in the wall above the sink so that we can see when the washer or dryer is done. Or when the person that is supposed  to be folding clothes isn't. And who wants to stare at a wall while washing dishes?

Watching the neighbors bale their hay.

Flippin' steaks on the 4th. We had a picnic on the picnic hill. If you pull our place up on google maps you can see the picnic table on the deck. The deck was in front of the trailerhouse.

The meat was delicious!

Your ax is almost as big as you D.J.

Mom stuck her marshmallows in the way.

He saw that I was ready to take pics of him splitting wood.

See the piece of wood flying?
Kyle was impressed with this picture 'cause, "It's not often that you see the ax beside the piece if wood in a picture."

C'mon!!!

Split!!!

Like brother like sister?

Kyle hiding from the camera.

Thinking hard? Or just scratching the last mosquito bit?

The fire.

They warmed some little cupcakes with the marshmallow roasters.

Marshmallows anybody? In my opinion they aren't done yet. The sides need roasted.

Some Random Pictures

Between the fence and the garden. There were Bluebirds in the bird house there that you see behind them.

Abbey came over for awhile one afternoon.

Our dolly-lover.

Playing in one of the sand pits on a Sunday afternoon. We had Marv Mullets over that Sun.

Katrina and I went down to Stone Lake for awhile. I had her take some pics of me. She did a good job.

The roses were loaded this year.

A wild rose.

Three wild roses.

A grassy sand bar.

Some bug eaten daisies.

This is why someone invented HDR. The field to the left had newly mown hay in it. But you can't see it on the pictures that I have of it. You kind of can in one of the pics of me.

Katrina.

A not very good HDR. When you don't use a tripod and/or a good camera they don't turn out very well.
