We went to Amnicon Falls on Father's Day. It's a falls about a mile from where Hwy 2 and 53 merge. It's a pretty place. Make sure you check the weather before you leave. The weather for there that is. It thunderstormed most of the time we were there. They have a nice big covered bridge though so if you don't check the weather you can hid in it till the storm passes.
This is one of the several falls at Amnicon. We got a kick out of the name. Pretty appropriate. :)
The Upper Amnicon Falls.
Below the bridge.
The top of the lower falls.
This was a whole lot bigger than it looks.
Inside the bridge.
The bridge from above. If you look close enough you can see rain streaks.
The Upper Falls... And rain streaks.
I liked the mist. I don't know as I've ever seen much mist under a falls before.
We could SEE blue sky... It was pouring where we were.
Lower Falls
Blue sky north of us during the worst of the thunder showers.
The bridge.
Among the attractions at Amnicon Falls State Park is the 55 foot long bridge that spans the lower falls. Originally it had no covering and was a highway bridge at a different place on the river.
