Our Trip, Part Two

We headed for Pink Hill, North Carolina to visit Dale & Beth Reinford and their 10 children. They live about 45 minutes from the ocean. We wanted to go to the Atlantic sometime on our trip so they took us out their. They live south far enough that you get the currents coming up fro the Gulf of Mexico so the water was actually pretty warm. When I got asked how warm it was I said that it was warmer than Lake Superior. And it was. Never mind how much warmer. And that all depends on the time of year and where the currents are running to/from and so on. Last time we were there it was COLD. We had fun. :)

Let's jump this wave!!!

Of beach... and waves.

Looking for shells. There were LOTS of shells... if you weren't picky enough to look for the unbroken ones.

As if we don't have plenty of these at home...

The pier. There were quite a few people out on it. We didn't go out on it. WE didn't even know that there were people on it till after we got home and were looking at pictures.

There. Finally I have this post done. I've been working on it for a LONG time.
P.S. We left for Pantego, NC on Tuesday morning to eat breakfast with a family from our church, Marvin & Dorothy Mullet. Dad has a first cousin there so she was there with her family as well. From there we went to South Boston, VA to visit another of Dad's cousins (a twin to the one in Pantego). Then, finally and at last, we set out for Granddad's, getting there around bedtime. It was really, really good to be able to finally stop for a week and a half. :)

A one lonely picture of our friends in Pantego.
